Boodles is a smaller bar that offers a fairly quite atmosphere filled mainly with locals who enjoy their gamblers bonus video poker. Since I moved back to Vegas I started going to boodles to hang-out with my aunt and buddy, have a few drinks and play some poker. Recently the video poker tournaments that have started on Tuesdays have me hooked and determined to be number 1! The more that play the more it pays :D
The bartenders are friendly, especially Tiffany- if it wasn't for her, the place wouldn't be the same! -

Boodles is now Kelly's. The place received a much needed facelift after the acquisition, which somewhat brought the bar into this decade. Unfortunately, Triple Play (which was adjacent) opted to close its doors for good; therefore, a pool table not occupies that space. Man, I miss those cheese steaks...
The bartenders are great and pour stiff drinks. There is plenty of gaming available, along with a bounty of large TV's. If you are under the age of 58, you are likely going to be the youngest in the bar (not a bad thing ever). Also, the place can, and does get smokey at times; therefore, adjust your expectations. Kelly's does sell package liquor... -

I saw a review from a friend about the Triple Play American Grill (it's connected via step and a glass door with Boodles), and thought I would check out the TAPG with a buddy and so an appointment was set. I arrived early and found myself in Boodles. Dark..smokey...normally not a problem, but the vibe seemed different. One of the reviews on yelp seemed different. Think "C" as in Cat.
There were obvious Charleston & Antelope locals working the machines. The bartender seemed like he could have given two F^%$'s I was there. I ordered a bottle of THE PATRIOT BREWER and noticed there was no taps, again normally not a big deal. There was no exchange of any real pleasantries so I sat and watched. It's all about the gambling locals.
I paid in cash and went over to the grill. It was fortuitous I had cash and paid with cash. It's all they take in the bar. With that I called an audible and bounced.
Maybe I will visit the Grill but will stay clear of bar.
